Village Trustee Vacancy

The Village of Johnson Creek Board of Trustees is accepting letters of interest to fill a
vacancy on the Village Board. This is an “at-large” seat, meaning the constituency is the
entire Village.

Qualifications to hold public office

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Elector/Resident of the Village of Johnson Creek
  • Citizen of the United States of America
  • No felony convictions in any court in the United States unless pardoned


Duties
As the legislative body of the municipal government, Village Trustees manage and control
Village-owned properties, finances, and public services through adoption of ordinances,
resolutions, policies, and the annual budget. Village Trustees serve on the Village Board,
Committee of the Whole as well as other various commissions or committees. Availability
for meetings on the second and fourth Mondays of each month is required.


Term & Salary
Term of office ends April 20, 2026. Annual salary is $3,600 (prorated for months to end of
term); no benefits are offered with this position.

elissaf@vi.johnsoncreek.wi.gov by NOON on November 7, 2025. Letter of interest should
include:

  • Name and address
  • Email address and phone number
  • Indicate the reason(s) you wish to serve as a Village Trustee
  • Include any relevant employment, education, and community service experience


Appointment process
Timely letters of interest from applicants who qualify for public office will be considered at
Special Meeting of the Village Board on November 10, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. or immediately
following the Committee of the Whole meeting. All applicants should attend as the
successful applicant elected by a majority vote of the Village Board will be sworn in
immediately and take their seat for the remainder of the Special Village Board meeting.
