New Abet Laminati USA Manufacturing Facility

An Italian manufacturer with a global footprint is now putting down roots right here in Johnson Creek.

Abet Laminati, a producer of decorative interior and exterior laminates, officially broke ground on its new facility on July 14. The company operates in 90 countries worldwide, and CEO Giancesare Drocco shared that this will be their first factory outside of Europe.

The ceremony brought together Abet leadership, project builder MSI General Corporation, Jefferson County officials, Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) representatives, and Johnson Creek village representatives.

Here's what this means for our community:

  • 120 new jobs
  • $625,000 in performance-based state income tax credits authorized by WEDC, tied to job creation and capital investment
  • A major step in Jefferson County's growing reputation as a destination for advanced manufacturing

Speakers throughout the morning highlighted the teamwork behind the project, from MSI General's design-build partnership to the support of Thrive Economic Development and WEDC. Attendees also got a tour of the construction site after the ceremonial groundbreaking.

"We are fully committed to your success," said Village President Swisher.

We're excited to welcome Abet Laminati to Johnson Creek and look forward to seeing this facility take shape. Welcome!
